Quinta del Hilo Group is operated by Quinta del Hilo LLC, based in San Diego, California. Lusso Fabrics, a division of the House, has its own website and its own privacy policy at lusso-fabrics.com.

Information we collect

When you write to us

The contact form asks for your first and last name, your email address, the division your message is about and your message, and for your agreement that we may use these details to reply. You may also give the name of your company.

When you ask to receive our letters

The letter forms ask for your email address and your agreement to receive email from us. On the pages of L'Essenza, Quinta Home and Quinta Tech you may also give your name. We record which letter you asked for and when you gave your agreement.

Information sent by your device

To limit repeated submissions, we keep a one-way code derived from your IP address and a secret key. The code cannot be turned back into the address, and we do not store the IP address itself. We also store the browser information your device sends with a form (its user agent).

When you visit the website, two analytics services receive information from your browser: Vercel Web Analytics, which counts the pages viewed, the kind of device and browser and the country a visit comes from, without cookies; and Google Analytics, which records the same kind of information with its cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code. Both are described under Cookies and similar technologies.

How we use information

We use the information above to reply to your messages, to send the letters you asked for, to limit repeated or automated submissions, to keep the website secure, and to understand how the website is used so that we can improve it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Our letters

We send letters only to people who asked for them. Every letter includes a link to stop receiving them, and our postal address. You can also stop them at any time by writing to us. A request to stop is honored promptly, and we do not send the address further letters unless you ask again.

Cookies and similar technologies

We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifiers that follow you across other websites. The only cookies the website sets are those of Google Analytics, described below, and we do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

We also use Google Analytics, a service of Google, to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited and for how long, the kind of device and browser, and the region a visit comes from. On quintadelhilo.com it sets its own cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code, which tell one visit from another and last up to two years, and it sends this information to Google (google-analytics.com and google.com). Google Analytics does not tell us who you are, and we have not turned on its advertising features. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. To stop it, you can block or delete these cookies in your browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The film on the About page. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you choose to play the film. If you do, it plays from YouTube, a service of Google, in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google may then collect information about that playback under its own privacy policy.

Do Not Track. The website does not respond to Do Not Track signals: Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics work the same way whether or not your browser sends one. We do not use either of them to follow you across other websites or for advertising.

Service providers

We share personal information only with companies that process it on our behalf to run the website: hosting and website analytics, the database where messages and letter requests are kept, and email delivery.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used. Google runs it for us as a service provider. Its advertising features, Google Signals among them, are turned off, and the information it collects is not sold or shared for advertising.

When you choose to play the film on the About page, it is delivered by YouTube (Google).

How long we keep information

We keep a message for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. We keep a letter request while you wish to receive letters; when you unsubscribe, we keep only the record that you did, so that we do not write to you again. We may keep information longer when the law requires it.

Google Analytics keeps the information linked to its cookies for 14 months, and then deletes it; only overall figures remain, such as the number of visits a page received.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it or delete it, by writing to info@quintadelhilo.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

California residents

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

• to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to receive a copy of it;
• to ask us to delete it;
• to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate;
• to opt out of its sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined by that law;
• to limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information through this website;
• not to be treated differently for using these rights.

In the last twelve months we have collected, through this website, identifiers (name, email address and the one-way code described above), the information you choose to write in a message, and internet activity: the browser information sent with a form and, through the Google Analytics cookies, the pages you view, the kind of device and browser, and the region a visit comes from. We collected it from you, for the purposes described in this policy, and disclosed it only to the service providers listed above.

To make a request — including a request to delete your information — write to info@quintadelhilo.com with the subject "California privacy request". We will confirm that we received it, verify your request by matching the email address it comes from, and answer within 45 days. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with your written permission.

Children

The website is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
